No active partners at this time
Chronicare does not currently have any active Research Programme partners. When partnerships are established, they will be listed on this page by name.
If you are enrolled in the Chronicare Research Programme, we will notify you by email when new partnerships are established, at most once per quarter and only when there are actual updates to this list.
You can withdraw from the Research Programme at any time via Settings → Privacy → Update my privacy choices in the app. Withdrawing means your data will not be included in any future outputs for any partner, present or future.
Who we work with
When partnerships are established, we will only work with organisations whose research is directly relevant to improving understanding and treatment of chronic health conditions, and who follow strict standards for data protection and privacy. Partners fall into the following categories.
Pharmaceutical and biotech companies
Companies researching, developing, or commercialising treatments for chronic conditions, including large pharmaceutical manufacturers and smaller clinical-stage biotech firms. These partners use anonymized data to inform drug development, understand how patients experience existing treatments, inform commercial strategy, and support market access research.
Academic and research institutions
Universities, hospitals, and public research bodies conducting research into chronic diseases. These partners use anonymized data to advance scientific understanding of chronic conditions, support published research, and contribute to improving patient care.
Real-world data and health data organisations
Specialist organisations that work with real-world health data for analysis, health technology assessment, or further research. These partners may incorporate anonymized outputs into analytical services or data products they provide to their own clients in the healthcare and life sciences sector, for example pharmaceutical companies or health systems. Any such downstream use involves only anonymized data; no personal data passes further down the chain. Downstream recipients must be bound by the same anonymization and non-re-identification obligations that apply to the direct partner, as required by their agreement with Chronicare.
What partners are permitted to use the data for
Partners may only use anonymized data outputs for the following purposes:
Drug development and R&D: informing clinical trial design, patient stratification, and drug efficacy or safety research
Market access and health economics: health technology assessments, payer submissions, and burden-of-disease analyses
Patient advocacy and disease awareness: understanding patient experience, quality of life, and disease burden for advocacy and communications
Commercial and market intelligence in healthcare: market sizing, patient journey mapping, and commercial strategy for companies operating in the chronic disease space
Academic research to improve patient care: advancing scientific knowledge of chronic conditions through institutional or published research
Healthcare service improvements: investigations into how healthcare services can be improved for patients living with chronic conditions
Partners are expressly prohibited from:
Attempting to re-identify any individual from data outputs
Using data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose not listed above
Sharing data with any third party except in fully anonymized form for agreed analytical purposes
Geographic scope
Partners may be based anywhere in the world, including within the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, the United States, and elsewhere. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, supplemented by appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Protections that apply to every partner
Before receiving any data, every Research Programme partner must sign a Data Sharing Agreement with ChroniCare ApS. This agreement:
Requires that all data outputs are handled in fully anonymized, non-identifiable form
Prohibits any attempt to re-identify individuals from data outputs
Restricts use of data strictly to the agreed purposes listed above
Prohibits onward transfer of data to third parties except in fully anonymized form for agreed analytical purposes, and requires that any such downstream recipients are bound by equivalent anonymization and non-re-identification obligations
Requires appropriate technical and organisational security measures
Grants Chronicare the right to immediately terminate access in the event of a breach of any obligation
How partners are listed
Where a partner has consented to being named publicly, they are listed by name together with a description of their organisation and the purposes for which they use data.
Where a partner has requested confidentiality for commercial reasons, they are listed by category only, for example "pharmaceutical company", without disclosing their name. In all cases, we will always disclose: the existence of the partnership, the category of organisation, the purposes for which data is used, and the fact that the partner's name is confidential. The existence of a partner is never hidden.
Active partners
No partnerships are currently active. This section will be updated when partnerships are established.
When active, partners will appear here either by name or, where the partner has requested confidentiality, by category.
